ok i have a question for all of the weccians on here why are there people that are afriad of us. We are people that are peaceful unless provolked right ? well i would like to know what other people think of what i have asked . Thanks

Well..., in a nutshell it's thanks to Hollywood's perversion of witchcraft...., but there are other factors. Because the "Christians" see us as the enemy they have chosen to "attach" us to their Satan....., an entity I don't even believe exists except in the fact that there is always darkness to balance the light...., without darkness there could be no light. It's like the "yin and the yang" only the Christians had to apply their darkness to a living subordinate of...., and who was created by....., their "light"...., they couldn't accept it existing in and of it'self, because that goes against their "one god" philosophy which it's self goes against all of nature in which none of the higher life forms recreate life alone. Also they don't like to hold themselves accountable for things that happen...."god's will", so they don't like that we see the devine within ourselves and in all the world around us. We believe all living things have a spirit, they believe only "man" has one....., and that all else is just animated matter I suppose.

Nicely put Brian! See people fear what they don't know, understand or care to learn. In turn people that do not hold the same beliefs as you or I do often view "us" as a threat in one form or another. Personally I feel the Christians/Catholics 'invented' Satan as a way to insure people of their faith did what their books say to do, to sort of keep everyone in line.
People who follow 'popular' religions don't realize that all religions are of the same foundation; people just took the parts they wanted to follow and made up their own versions. My Aunt is a 'Catholic' but fills her home with candles and does Tarot readings, drinks too much and has been with her girlfriend for 20 years. Sounds strange huh, but to each their own. Does that make her a hypocrite, probably, is it my place to judge her, absolutely not.
Humans aren't always open~minded, a lot of it has to do with the way they were raised. I had parents that never pushed religion on me, which left doors open in which I could explore and find my own path. Just always remember that people that don't understand or feel they need to judge you have a right to their opinion. You should not take it to heart, just take it for what it is, another persons point of view.

Yeah..., I hold no anger towards christians...., well not modern ones anyway. But, lol, I once got to see an old woman actually ram her nose into the metal frame of the door at a local grocery store trying to get away from me after seeing my pent. I always say stupidity and ignorance should hurt so people would learn...., that time it did, but since she ran when I tried to help her..., I doubt she learned anything at all

Yeah...., in my early days I didn't really have a faith of any kind and while working on my car one day (after having busted my knuckles open twice) in a big hurry so I could get to work and not be to late (which I explained to them) some Jahova's Witnesses came into my garage to "witness" to me...., I politely told them I really wasn't interested, but they refused to leave untill I listened...., I decided to tell them I was an athiest..., big mistake it suddenly became their life mission to convert me and they just would not leave my garage and let me work in peace untill I explained to them that if I had to come out from under the car somebody was going to get a half-inch breaker bar up-side their head, and they still didn't leave untill I shouted out "god-dam-it, that's it' and grabbed the bar and started sliding out from under the car, when I got up they were already to the end of my driveway. I really just do not like pushy people of any sort, especially when I start out politely.......

I am a christian, but am not afraid or down any other. I am also a christian that senses humans are not the only spirit.
everything that has life, is life. I don't know about your ways, but am willing to learn and understand. I have always been taught that the six pentacles were a symbol of the devil, but like Proud2beme stated, with age comes knowledge. and with knowledge comes understanding. It would be nice if you could post a few things explaining what weccians believe and why, also what it is like when you are gathered together as a group. Thanks so much for this opportuniy to express my feelings, be blessed!!!

Its the Christian churches that cause people to fear other beliefs.They are the blame.Look at all other religeons, they keep to themselves.Not the Christians.They bastardize ne thing that they do not understand an put it in every ones head that ne thing else is "evil" so in my opinion that is why you are feared cause of your belief.As for me I am a Satanist,so I really get shit from them.They really bastardize my belief.But what they fail to see is that being a Satanist we have achieved a higher level of mental evoulition an broke away from the "mind controlled/brain washed"way of life that some farie tail book thinks humans should live.
