Do you have nosey neighbors?
My neighbors are so nosy. They're an old couple and they're also the landlord. We live at the beach, in a duplex apartment. They come down about once a month and stay for a few days.
About twice a day, the woman comes over and bangs on our door very loudly and my son yells 'I'll be right there'. You'd think that she would stop knocking but she knocks even louder and I know she can hear him.
When my son opens the door, the first thing the neighbor says is 'Oh, I'm sorry. Did I bother you again'? My son says 'No'. Then she proceeds to hand him 2 pieces of fruit or, sometimes, cake.
I can't figure out what her motive is. At first I thought she might be looking for pets because pets aren't allowed but that's not it because she doesn't look inside.
Does anyone have any idea why she does this? I know it's not because she's being nice because she is not a very nice person.
If I had answered the door, I wouldn't have taken the food, just to see what would happen. My son is too nice to do that. Any ideas at all?
